Heading to Spain: Pope Benedict

Heading to Spain: Pope Benedict

NOT travelling to World Youth Day in Spain?
Subscribers to Xt3.com can watch live webcasts daily.

A webcast on August 16 at 8pm (Brisbane time) will feature the only gathering of all the Australian pilgrims in Madrid.

On August 18 at 8pm Pope Benedict XVI's arrival and a short ceremony of welcome will feature.

Early risers, on August 19 at 3.30am, can catch footage from the Pope's passage through Puerta de Alcalá to the Plaza de Cibeles.

A day later, also at 3.30am, the Stations of the Cross will be aired.

The webcast on August 21 at 4.30am will show pilgrims making their way from Madrid to the Cuatro Vientos aerodrome for the overnight vigil.

An address from Pope Benedict will follow.

The final Mass will be seen via Xt3.com on August 21 at 5pm.

At the conclusion of the Mass Pope Benedict will announce the location of the next World Youth Day.

For best viewing of the webcasts an Internet connection via a desktop or laptop computer with speakers is required.

A broadband Internet connection including ADSL 1, ADSL 2, cable and/or wireless is suggested with a speed of over 750kbps (0.75mbps).

Slower Internet connections will still work but the image quality may be lacking.

The live webcast should be accessible from any computer with a suitable Internet connection and the latest Flash player (to download it go to www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html).

Xt3 has put into place several contingency plans to ensure the World Youth Day webcasts will run smoothly.
