BURPENGARY parish put on the "snags" and a special cake when this year's sacramental families were invited to a barbecue to mark the completion of their preparation and celebration of the sacraments of Confirmation and First Holy Communion.
Last Sunday's social gathering after the 9.30am Mass was an invitation to others, too, with parish priest Oblate Father Paul Smithers saying, "Everyone is welcome to join the party."
Confirmation and First Holy Communion was celebrated in Burpengary over three weekends in June.
