NET 2009 family: Holy Spirit Provincial Seminary rector Monsignor Tony Randazzo led the group in prayer on November 14
NET ministries celebrated a fruitful, faith-filled year on November 14 at its end-of-year Mass and banquet.
Holy Spirit Provincial Seminary rector Monsignor Tony Randazzo celebrated the Mass at Mary Immaculate Church, Annerley, among this year's NET (National Evangelisation Teams) members, their family members and others in the outreach's "family".
With six teams in 2009 - two in Cairns, others in Coffs Harbour, Lismore and Melbourne, and the customary Australia-wide "travelling team" - an estimated 30,000 young people have witnessed the faith of their peers through NET this year.
In its 23rd year in 2010, NET will commission nine teams including a new university outreach.
"Next year ... we will have the two (teams) in Cairns again, one in Lismore, one in Melbourne, one in the Atherton region, our travelling team as usual and our new university team - this ministry called Freedom - an exciting new venture for NET Ministries," director Shanelle Bennett said.
Shanelle said the ministry continued to be "faithful" to God's call.
"I know I want NET to be where God wants it to be," she said.
"(And) if we remain listening and faithful, it will be."
