Koinonia evening of prayer

Published: 23 May 2004

THE Brisbane Vocation Centre will host the next monthly Koinonia prayer evening at St Patrick's Church, Fortitude Valley on June 2.

Koinonia gives Catholic young adults aged 16 and up an opportunity to gather each month for reflection on Scripture and prayer before the Blessed Sacrament.

It is an initiative of the vocation centre in conjunction with Emmanuel Youth Outreach, and prayers focus around Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament with members of Emmanuel Youth Outreach providing music.

The hour-long prayer evening begins at 7pm with time afterwards to share a supper, a cup of tea and a chat.

Before attending Koinonia, young adults can participate in a reflection afternoon on May 29 at Canali House, next to St Patrick's Church, Fortitude Valley.

The afternoon will incorporate a street retreat in the surrounding area and will be another opportunity for young people to discern how God may be calling to them in their lives.

For more information about Koinonia or the vocation centre phone Luke Plant on (07) 3224 3392 on Wednesdays or Thursdays or e-mail vocation@bne.catholic.net.auLink will allow you to send an email
