Time to let our shepherds guide us

Published: 4 December 2011

IN The Catholic Leader of November 13 we read on Page 10 a thought-inspiring column by Paul Ninnes (Vocations Talk), reminding us that many Catholics are still being martyred for their faith.

In the same edition was the lovely story on St Catherine of Siena, a woman saint visited by Pope Urban who valued her wisdom and knowledge and holiness, as also the pope who visited St Maria Taigi valued her wisdom and knowledge.

The Church is already being attacked by "outsiders"; we don't need knee-jerk reactors taking our "Shepherds" to task, as they strive to bring us closer to God by changes in the "language of Christ's Mass" (P and L O'Shea, Opinion, CL 13/11/11).

I was sure every peson today would know "mankind" means every person, man or woman, every human, or should we say every hu-person?

Let us pray and leave the truly "great ones", our Shepherds to guide us.

Let us pray and obey the Church Jesus gave us.

Yes, pray that we may understand with true wisdom the direction our One Holy and Apostolic Church is going.
