Strong desire to promote marriage

Published: 16 October 2011

I STRONGLY urge all Christians to vote for and promote marriage in its present form.

For at least the past 2000 years all societies worldwide have believed that marriage is the permanent union of a man and woman in mind, heart and body for the birth and education of children, for their own mutual satisfaction and the building up of the community.

The state has the duty to promote and support marriage to the good of society and has no right to redefine or deny this right.

It also has a duty to guard the exclusiveness and permanency of marriage which are needed to guard the identity and status of the children and to preserve their right to know and be cherished and cared for by their biological mother and father.

Marriage is not about the natural or unnatural pleasuring of any two or more people (male or female) deliberately not open or able to produce life.

Married people are not being homophobic or homosceptic when guarding the fundamental rights of all children as agreed to by the 192 members of the United Nations with the exception of six.

It is not about discrimination to defend the tried and true traditional, natural, time-tested and religious concepts of marriage.

It is self-defence and justice to defend the truth, the integrity of democracy and the freedom of religion against grave threats to the irreplaceable constitution of marriage and to the future generations of our children already seriously depleted by a selfish anti-life mentality.

In many states same-sex couples or many sex groupings are registered for basic needs despite not being open or able to have children naturally therefore where is the discrimination?

No one or groups has the right to decide morality arbitrarily, it is in the nature of all things. Would anyone dare to defy gravity?

Morality, like medicine, is doing good and avoiding harm. Only true marriage is the basis of happy families. This is not bigotry but biology.

I strongly urge all politicians and Christian people not to tamper with the marriage laws in any way and to promote marriage in its present form.
